Copy Editing
If you’re not sure whether or not to use the Oxford comma, I’ve got your back. I’m well-versed in both Chicago Manual of Style and AP Style, and I have a meticulous eye for detail that will save you from publishing an embarrassing mistake. For help with spelling, formatting, grammar, or other proofreading tasks, I’m happy building style sheets and poring over each nook and cranny on every page.
Content Writing
From friendly, casual blogs to in-depth research articles, I’m experienced in writing targeted content that will keep readers engaged with and excited about your business. Check out my most recent work for Knot Plastic here, here, and here. Or, for something a little less persuasive and a little more informational, check out What’s My Hair Type here.
Copy Writing
I have experience writing and QAing product copy across a broad range of retail categories for Target, Overstock.com, and Home Depot during my time working with Periscope. From following brand voice guidelines to creating long-chain SEO, I’ve covered everything from furniture to fashion to baby formula.
Developmental Editing
From choosing between “exemplify” and “extrapolate” to wondering if your story should open with a different paragraph, I’m here to support the development of your craft so it appeals to the right audience. The most important part of developmental editing is to have a light hand; readers should be seeing your work, not the editor’s. Check out the poetry in this magazine for a glance at my editorial work (I know, I know, you won’t really be able to see it).
A few writing samples and highlights are below, but I invite you to check out full examples here.
Work Samples:
Knot Plastic:
“By thinking deeply about the changes we can make, we can spread love and make positive change worldwide. Too often, the media’s lens on plastic only focuses on one issue; cleaning up oil spills, rescuing wildlife, protecting one city from fumes by changing the location of production. They make it seem as though you must pick one cause. But at Knot Plastic™️, we want to challenge this narrative, because we have the power to eliminate all of these problems while ensuring our products are just as durable and accessible as plastic.“

The Tower Art & Literary Magazine:
“Hi dear readers! We are the Poetry Editors of the 2020 edition of ‘The Tower.’ As Poetry Editors, we’re fascinated by works that are intricate, raw, and innovative. In hopes of exploring the new and the familiar, we’re interested in the works that make us feel a combination of resonance and inspiration. If a poem makes us nod and smile or furrow our brows in thought, that’s a piece worth immersing ourselves in time after time. This year, there are five Poetry Editors on ‘The Tower’ staff.”

What’s My Hair Type:
“Damage can occur at any porosity level, and depending on the type and extent of damage, it may change the hair’s porosity. Three signs of damage are to the left. First, cuticle scales may lift, or in extreme cases become removed, especially when exposed to peroxide, lye, and ammonia, which are common ingredients in hair dye, perms, and relaxers. These types of chemical services may permanently change your hair’s porosity. Cracks may occur along the cuticle, especially when hair is exposed to extreme temperatures and drying environments, including sun and heat damage.“
